Sonic (S)
What is Sonic?
Sonic is the native token of the Sonic blockchain, the evolution of Fantom with radically improved speed and throughput. Optimised for DeFi, it processes up to 10,000 TPS with sub-second finality.
Sonic was born from a complete reworking of the Fantom Opera architecture, with a new database (SonicDB) and a new consensus engine that eliminate previous bottlenecks. The Sonic Gateway programme allows assets to be bridged from Ethereum to Sonic securely. The migration from OPERA to S took place at a 1:1 ratio, ensuring continuity for historical Fantom users. Sonic's DeFi ecosystem is growing rapidly thanks to incentives for new protocols.
Key data
Why analyse Sonic with machine learning?
As a next-generation chain, Sonic is in the ecosystem bootstrapping phase: new protocol launches and TVL incentives create strong price momentum. The "Fantom evolved" narrative attracts capital from the historical community and new investors, creating identifiable accumulation patterns. The correlation with general DeFi performance is high, amplified by the elevated beta of a young chain.
How High Tide's analysis of Sonic works
Every day, the High Tide model analyses Sonic by combining multiple technical indicators: RSI to identify overbought and oversold conditions, MACD to detect momentum changes, and Bollinger Bands to measure relative volatility. The analysis also integrates the closing price, trading volumes and the trend over the last 24 hours. The model publishes an UP or DOWN signal only when all indicators exceed the minimum confidence threshold, filtering out weak or contradictory signals. Each prediction is verified after 7 days against real Binance data, continuously updating the accuracy statistics.
